1. The art brush shall be cleaned in time after use to avoid the paint drying on the bristles. If you don't use it for a short time, you can wipe off the pigment left on the brush with cloth or paper, wash it with turpentine, and then immerse it in water. Two containers for turpentine oil can be prepared, one for preliminary cleaning to remove the remaining pigment on the brush; The other is used for the second cleaning.

2. When the art brush is not used for a long time, it shall be thoroughly cleaned and sealed with paper. Methods of thorough cleaning: ① after cleaning with turpentine, Rub the brush with clean or warm water on the soap (Note: do not use boiled water, because the boiled water will damage the metal hoop of the brush). ② squeeze the bristles with your fingers or rotate them in the palm of your hand. Wash them repeatedly for several times until the soap foam turns white. Note: it is forbidden to pinch the root of the bristles with your fingernails, twist left and right, and twist around to squeeze away the waste color. This will change the material memory of the bristles and dry the brush After that, the bristles will become messy. ③ After washing with clean water, straighten out the bristles of the pen, and wrap the pen with a slightly harder piece of paper for storage for future use.

3. When cleaning the brush, use appropriate force, otherwise it is easy to hurt the brush hair. The soap solution used to clean the brush must be weak alkali soap (it is recommended to buy a special brush cleaning soap) to prevent the bristles from hardening. Silk wool detergent can be used instead of paint thinner, which will make the bristles brittle due to the loss of oil. The oil painting brush that has been shortened will usually be discarded. If the metal hoop is heated on the fire and the bristles are pulled out a little without changing the shape of the bristles, the service life of the brush can be prolonged.
